The pilgrimage to Woodward Reservoir for this year’s Symbiosis Gathering requires something extra special for your stereo system and that’s why we made this 100 track mixtape. From heavy hitters like Gramatik and RL Grime to new discoveries such as Vancouver based ‘celtic punjabi electronica’ duo Delhi 2 Dublin, this playlist displays the full range of musical […]

Once a month our staff of 19 Music lovers collaborate to create one concentrated mixtape. It holds the very best of what’s been our headphones lately, both new and old. This month’s playlist is bright and sunny to start: songs to play at the first rooftop bbq of the season, such as Adana Twins and Doctor Dru’s […]
This month’s playlist opens with a 12 minute remix from one of our favorite artists, Nico Jaar. It transitions through some hazy melancholy clicks and snaps into some bassy club tracks. We take a break with Kenny Segal and then a succession of pop tracks, including one from our very own Kids Want Techno. I thought I never wanted to hear another "Circles" remix, but this one really is fantastic. We close with some grimey shit and fade out into some more abstraction.
Once a month our staff of 17 Music lovers collaborates to create one concentrated mixtape. It holds the very best of what’s been our headphones lately, both new and old. This month’s playlist features some ghostly filters, some early 2000s R&B flips and that hard shit.
This month's playlist is bookended by noises from space that NASA recently released. It starts in sexy tech-house from Kill Frenzy's new album and Justin Jay's edit of Laffy Taffy to some cheery cuddly tracks from Lindsay Lowend and A. G. Cook with a remix of MGMT. Then it drops into some harder bass with Zeds Dead and Flux. It closes with a long smooth ride from the XX to Henry Krinkle.
From some experimental bass with new SBTRKT and Ben Kahn gems, to a lighter mood with WKND's Chet Faker remix and Slow Magic's "Waited 4 U," into some heavy deep house, and finally closing with Madeon's 13-minute gem. So turn up your speakers, open your windows, and enjoy the music.
Building up, then dropping deep. Then deeper. A shiny respite and into some increasingly erratic grime. Sharply up for sunshine melodies, into some funk, and ending on the sun-kissed shores of LA beaches with a Kendrick Lamar/Tycho fusion. From your friends over here at TEC, we present a full staff collaboration of the best sounds in our headphones this week. […]
Highlights include Flume's newest Chet Faker remix, a really cool Justin Martin track that Dillon Francis told me was his favorite track to play at sunrise in Ibiza, a hidden Disclosure gem, and some very sexy remixes.
