Exciting news echo from the valleys surrounding Lake San Antonio in Bradley, California. Next Memorial Day Weekend, Lightning in a Bottle is returning once again to bring joy and elation to thousands of festival goers and music lovers alike for the 12th straight year. And this year, the people at The Do LaB are especially excited to announce that there will be a lake of water attached to their festival! The lake has been dried up in years past due to California drought and mechanical problems with the dam. But the heaviest downpour of rain in California in years and fixed infrastructure has allowed the lake to refill to almost 65% capacity!
Previous Lightning in a Bottle lineups have included incredible artists such as Chet Faker, Flume, RL Grime, Odesza, Moby, Beats Antique, Griz, Shpongle, Rusko, Odesza and Tipper. Here is the 2016 LIB recap video to give you a little taste of what it’s like when you trap lightning in a bottle.
Thanks to the addition of the beautiful lake, this year’s LIB will now feature tons of aquatic art installations. These funky floating art boats will be there to fill all of your viewing and buoyancy needs.
Lightning in a Bottle is truly one of the most unique and extraordinary music festivals in the entire world. The atmosphere of the festival, which is set by the attitudes of the festival attendees, is unlike any I have ever been to before or since. I have had the absolute pleasure of attending the previous two years of Lightning in a Bottle, and to be honest, I can’t imagine ever not going.
