About a week ago Swedish pop trio, Ember Island, began a remix contest for their song “Need You” putting out the acapella, and now earlier today New York based duo Mysto & Pizzi just released their mellow remix of the track. The duo focuses on the vocals, adding in their own futuristic elements such as glitchy effects on the certain parts of the vocals, a steady drum beat, and a hauntingly melodic drop. With the winner of remix contest to be announced at the end of March and a high bar set, it’s definitely going to be interesting to hear other upcoming remixes.
Yet another amazing track by the duo known as PRXZM, this time a remix of Bishu’s “Upsidown“. The track features soft vocals accompanied by energetic vibrant synths. The track literally goes upside down with a flip creating a unique vibey drop that you can’t help but groove to.
Kyle Hughes, who has established himself as a young producer to watch already holding a Mad Decent release under his belt at the age of 17, recent remix of rapper G-Eazy’s track “Random” is straight fire. Hughes begins the track with an aggressive trap-influenced beat over G-Eazy’s vocals before flipping into a high energy future bass drop that complements the aggressive vocals surprisingly well. As the track goes “This shit is not random. Everybody ain’t got it, understand son.” Clearly, Kyle Hughes has got it, and that shit is not random.
