AlunaGeorge, the English duo renowned for their infectious sound, has been featured throughout 2015 across a variety of hit tracks such as Jack Ü’s “To Ü” and Zhu’s “Automatic”, but the duo has stayed fairly quiet on their own work with no releases since Supernatural towards the end of 2014. Just this week, the duo released their latest track “I’m In Control“, which will be in their upcoming album, I Remember. The song takes an interesting spin on their sound adding incredibly catchy future bass synths with a smooth percussion that compliments Aluna’s beautiful vocals.
Long time Electronic Current favorite, Prince Fox, has been on a tear as of late and is currently on tour across the US. His latest track following a string of strong originals is an energetic remix of fellow Republic Record label-mate Felix Jaehn’s “Ain’t Nobody“. The Prince of NYC gives the track revitalized energy with hard hitting percussion, giving the tropical house track the signature Prince Fox sound.
One particular producer who I’ve been watching out for recently is 18 year old French producer, Kidswaste. He first caught my attention through his collaboration with one of the leading future bass producers, Manila Killa, and their remix of “Can’t Do Without You”. His latest track “Come Back” is a reboot of his earlier track by the same name with gnash’s vocals layered over. The track has an upbeat feel with the samples of birds chirping and a heavy emphasis on the whimsical melody. Without a doubt, Kidswaste is on the right path to a great 2016.
