Now in its’ eleventh year of existence, the DoLaB’s Lightning in a Bottle music and arts festival is returning to beautiful Lake San Antonio in Bradley, California for five days and five nights of magical and refreshing artwork and connection! Today the DoLaB made a huge announcement; one that thousands of people nationwide have been waiting for. The official 2016 Lightning in a Bottle lineup has arrived!
This year’s lineup features some of electronic music’s most talented artists such as Chet Faker, Grimes and Jamie XX who will be headlining the festival on the epic Lightning Main Stage. The Thunder Stage also has some incredibly gifted musicians such as Mr. Carmack, Dimond Saints and The Polish Ambassador, just to name a few. The Thunder Stage was without a doubt my favorite stage of the three at last year’s festival, and it’s easy to assume that this year will be no different.
One set of names that especially stood out to me from the Thunder Stage is a special G Jones b2b Minnesota set. Both hailing from The Bay Area, these two ballistic bass music trail blazers have been working together a lot over the past five years. Another artists I’m extremely excited for is bass music legend Eprom.
One of the best aspects of Lightning in a Bottle is their wide array of music styles and sounds. This year the DoLaB is paying homage to some of the biggest legends in the techno and house music world like Guy Gerber, Magda, and Josh Wink.
But Lightning in a Bottle isn’t just about the music. No, it’s so much more than that! Arguably the best parts of this festival are all the different art exhibits, yoga classes, and public speakers. The Lightning Stage will be blessed with the stunning art installation and live musical acts of William Close and the Earth Harp Collective as well as LIB’s favorite electro-house troupe The Lucent Dossier Experience.
If all of this wasn’t enough to have you begging for Memorial Day Weekend to come sooner, check out this remarkable Official Lightning in a Bottle 2015 after movie.
And if you weren’t already aware, this year Lightning in a Bottle has extended to have a fifth day of connection and fun for its attendees. Festival goers can arrive on Wednesday, May 25th to get a good spot to camp and check out the entire festival grounds to familiarize themselves with the layout.
You really don’t want to miss the joyous gathering of likeminded music and art lovers this year. The overall atmosphere and vibe of the festival is unmatched by any other festival I have ever been to. But tickets are going fast! After a very successful early flash ticket sale, the festival is already 50% sold out! Here’s the link to Lightning in a Bottle’s page, where you can buy your festival pass, camping pass and learn more about what LIB has to offer.
RSVP on the Facebook event page so you can stay up to date and in the know about all upcoming announcements related to the festival.
I’m extremely excited to once again go back to my favorite festival, and you should be too! Memorial Day Weekend cannot come soon enough!
