It’s difficult to put into words the kind of emotions and energy that Ott. puts into his musical creations. Every instrumental synth, rhythm, melody, track, and ultimately album serve to evoke an ethereal experience that takes the listener on an otherworldly journey. Ott.’s latest album, “Fairchildren,” is one of his best works to date. The album opens with a mellow energy in its first three tracks, mostly incorporating acoustic instrumentals with drawn out female vocals. As the album progresses, Ott.’s idiosyncratic wompy bass style emerges. “Harwell Dekatron” is one such track that has an elegant yet chaotic flow throughout. The following three tracks, “Unit Delta Plus,” “Hello, My Name Is…,” and “The Bicycle Of The Sky” intricately weave multi-frequency rhythms with ephemeral vocals. The album comes to a magnificent close with “Ship Is Not A Child.” The track feels like a microcosm of the entire album’s energy. It starts with a gentle and elegant mood, transitions into heavy psy-dubby juiciness, and levels out with drawn out psychedelic synths that evoke hair-raising sensations throughout your body. The album is up for download on Bandcamp for $8.58. Show Ott. your love and support by purchasing his beautiful music so we can count on continued magic from this artist’s mind!
