For this week’s installment of Savory House Saturdays, I have curated a mix of upbeat and feel good songs that have been on constant replay for me the past couple of days. As usual, all of these songs span a variety of genres, and have one goal- to make you feel happy when listening!
Peking Duck- High (Lenno Remix)
19 year old nu-disco prodigy Lenno continues to show off his impeccable production with his latest track, a remix of Peking Duck’s “High”. Every single track Lenno puts out absolutely blows me away, and this one is no different. Bright jazzy chords gracefully float atop a hard hitting snare and kick that just make you want to get on the dance floor. Buy the track on iTunes here.
Bee’s Knees- Variety Pack
Los Angeles based duo Bee’s Knees have been on the rise over the past few months, and show no signs of slowing down. This past week, they released their debut EP, aptly titled “Variety Pack” Bee’s Knees” sound is something I could only characterize as a fusion of melodic, chill, summer, and even some progressive house, taken down a few tempos to chill it out to feel just right. This EP is really unlike anything else I’ve ever heard, and something you have to listen to for yourself.
