KRNE has become one of the most consistent Trap/Future Bass producers in the game these days, and is finally earning the attention he deserves. One strategy for constantly keeping his sound fresh? Frequent collaborations. This time KRNE teams up with QUIX, a heavy trap producer out of Auckland, New Zealand. The harpsichord intro gives way to a steady trap drop with interesting synths and excellent beat mixing. Very fun, experimental trap.
You should all know Sam Gellaitry by now. He’s already influenced many up and coming trap artists working to keep the genre progressive and musically diverse. The drop on “long distance” is absolute fire, bringing in the bass and vocals at exactly the right time. The brass horns are used sparingly and keep the bouncy melody fresh throughout.
I’ve had my ear on CRAY for a while now, and she’s finally released a track that I can support- That might sound like a backhanded compliment, but I can attest to her progression as an artist and I’m impressed by “Up In Smoke.” The melody is slightly repetitive, but CRAY easily makes up for it with solid beat mixing and strong builds/drops.
Trap ain’t dead.
