Zomboy’s incredible sophomore album titled “Resurrected” just dropped a month ago and it’s been getting played in dozens of different artists’ live and recorded sets. The album consists of nine remixes of previous Zomboy tracks such as “Nuclear” and “Game Time”, and two new original tracks titled “Resurrected” and “Back Once Again”. Zomboy was able to get some really big names to remix his old tracks including Dillon Francis, Bro Safari, and Must Die!, just to name a few. The new album was a huge success and continues to gain attention from more and more artists and listeners from around the world. The two original tracks he released on the album have been getting remixed a lot, but none that I have found so far sound better than this WAVEDASH remix of “Back Once Again”.
Just when I thought a Zomboy song couldn’t sound any filthier, WAVEDASH came along and proved me completely wrong! This new remix first premiered on The EDM Network’s Dubstep page, and instantly caught my attention. WAVEDASH is a relatively new and unheard of trio of producers which first gained a bit of a following about a month ago with their remix of Skrillex’s track “All is Fair in Love and Brostep”. This remix of “Back Once Again” has got to be one of the best remixes I’ve heard in quite a while. WAVEDASH somehow managed to take an already extremely hard hitting dubstep monster and make it even heavier and more explosive than before. This scorching new take on Zomboy’s original track gives the listener a feeling of spinning hopelessly out of control in a hail storm of piercing synths and smashing drum beats. The choppy sounds used in the second half of the first drop made me think of some kind of enormous, roaring dinosaur thrashing around. This will surely be the beginning of something big to come from WAVEDASH, so expect to being hearing their name again soon.
