Welcome back to another episode of R&B&E Mondays, where the bass is heavy and the rhythm undeniable.
To start off comes a track from a producer you’ve definitely seen if keeping up with these posts with any sort of regularity, Raava. Here he flips ‘Dreams are Real’ by Tinashe, filtering the vocals and bringing in his usual swinging heavy bass. At only one minute and thirty four seconds long the remix is short but sweet.
Next up is a song from another personal favorite, Misogi. Here he has a vocalist sing lyrics from Mario’s ’04 classic ‘You Should Let me Love You’ over piano chords oozing with melancholy. This song slows things down a bit from the usual R&B&E pace, but is overall a great change of pace.
ASSUME is a production duo Based out of Atlanta, Georgia. They are currently coming up in that scene and are definitely something to look out for. Here they remix Lauren Cruz’s ‘Can’t Resist’ to create a trap/R&B&E hybrid. Staying with the theme the track has powerful bass that rides behind the synth work and soothing vocals.
To finish strong, we have a brand new one from 16 y/o British virtuoso Oshi. This kid has been on fire since he opened fruity loops, and this is one of my favorite tracks I’ve heard from him thus far. Chopped vocals over a persistent hi hat, sampled guitar, and jazzy piano chords come together to form this contemporary masterpiece.
